Omnigrading Authenticity and Grade Guarantee

Overview

The Omnigrading Authenticity and Grade Guarantee ("Guarantee") ensures the accuracy of the grade assigned to each card graded by Omnigrading. This Guarantee is fundamental to our commitment to providing accurate and reliable grading services.

Guarantee Coverage

If you are the current and lawful owner of a card that has been graded and authenticated by Omnigrading ("Authenticated Card"), you may present such card for review under this Guarantee. If Omnigrading concludes that the Authenticated Card was erroneously awarded its assigned grade or fails our grading standards, then subject to the Guarantee Cap, Omnigrading will, at its option, either:

  1. Purchase the card from the current owner at the current market value, as determined by Omnigrading in its sole and absolute discretion, or
  2. Refund the difference in market value between the original grade and the current grade if the grade is lowered, and return the card to the current owner.

Guarantee Cap

  1. Per-card cap: $10,000
  2. Lifetime cap per person: $25,000

Omnigrading will not pay more than the Guarantee Cap under any circumstance.

How to Use the Guarantee

To submit a Guarantee claim:

  1. Contact Omnigrading at customercare@omnigrading.com
  2. Provide proof of lawful purchase of the Authenticated Card
  3. Include your order number and contact information

After examining your card and ownership evidence, we will contact you to discuss next steps if your card is eligible for the Guarantee. If we determine that the original grade is correct, your card will be returned with the original grade, and you will be responsible for:

  1. Review fee of $25
  2. Return postage charges

Exclusions

The Guarantee does not apply in the following circumstances:

  1. Original Submitters: The Guarantee cannot be utilized by the original submitter (or their agents, employees, affiliates, or representatives) who submitted the card for original grading.
  2. Removed/Tampered Slabs: Cards removed from slabs or found in partially opened slabs or slabs with evidence of tampering, as determined by Omnigrading in its sole discretion.
  3. Environmental Damage: Cards that have been environmentally damaged or deteriorated after grading, including but not limited to:
  4. Fading
  5. Spotting
  6. Changes in color due to sunlight exposure
  7. Mold
  8. Fire or water damage
  9. Manufacturing Defects: Cards exhibiting defects from the manufacturer, such as:
  10. Peeling layers
  11. Chipping or peeling ink/paint on metallic cards
  12. Surface stock deterioration

Clerical Errors

For mechanical or clerical errors in inputting data shown on the label (including incorrect dates, mislabeled card specifications, set variations, or typing errors), please contact customercare@omnigrading.com. We will correct these errors free of charge.

Changes in Hobby Status

The Guarantee does not cover changes in a card's status within the collecting community. As new information is discovered over time, the hobby may adjust its original beliefs about a card's:

  1. Origins
  2. Date of creation
  3. Overall design
  4. Set classification
  5. Historical significance

These changes may impact a card's value, but such market adjustments are not covered by the Guarantee.

Market Value Determination

Current market value is determined by Omnigrading in its sole and absolute discretion, based on:

  1. Recent verified sales data
  2. Current market conditions
  3. Proof of purchase documentation

Additional Terms

  1. The Guarantee does not cover loss, theft, or damage to any Authenticated Card
  2. Omnigrading reserves the right to modify or update any terms of this Guarantee at any time
  3. All determinations made by Omnigrading regarding the Guarantee are final
